This uninterrupted power supply UPS 13.5V DC 12A from EA Elektro-Automatik has been designed for DC-distributors, and continues to work in case of a power failure, such as in alarm units, telephone systems, automatic door openers, production and process control systems.
Alternatively, an external lead-acid battery or one or more EA-BU units (maintenance-free, gas-tight lead-gel batteries) can be connected. Power failure and low voltage of the battery are reported via LEDs and potential-free contacts. In case the emergency operation continues for a long period that there is a risk of deep-discharge, the device is automatically switched off.
Another highlight is the Phoenix plug-in system, which allows maintenance and the exchange of units to be performed very quickly. The changing and maintenance of the accumulator batteries can be done during the mains operation (trickle charging).
