The EA Elektro-Automatik EA-PS 8016-20T microprocessor-controlled laboratory switched mode power supply has a wealth of options for control and monitoring. The output voltage and current are displayed simultaneously on the front panel. There is an analog interface (either 0 to 10V or 0 to 5V) and the units have a plug-n-play slot which can be retrofitted at any time by the user to provide additional functionality (RS232, IEEE, USB, CAN, LAN, PROFIBUS). A memory function allows storing up to 5 frequently used settings which can be retrieved with the touch of a button. The devices have a remote sensor to compensate for lead resistance to the load up to 2V. Models from 1kW have autoranging (high voltage or high current output) at a constant power output.
