An AC powered 3mm white LED which has a luminous intensity of 3000mcd, 30° viewing angle and 13.5mm leg length.
Caution: These LEDs are to be used with an AC power supply only, and are not to be used with a rectifier.
These AC LED's are excellent replacements for filament bulbs running off an AC supply in applications where access is awkward or difficult. I have used them in an illuminated bell push where it was getting a real pain to keep changing a 3mm filament lamp which despite using limiting resistors still blew after a short period. That is no longer a problem with these LED's, good illumination with 18mA from a bell transformer which purports to be 12V but actually supplies 18V.
