The Texas Instruments TPD2S017 forms a system level ESD buffer for electrostatic sensitive core chips in high speed, low voltage applications. During ESD strikes it generates very low clamp voltages and controlled filter roll-off provides even greater spurious EMI suppression and signal integrity. It achieves this with minimal signal distortion and the ability to function at very high data rates (>1Gbps). The device offers a flow-through pin mapping for ease of board layout. Applications include Hi-Speed USB, IEEE 1394 Interfacing, Low-Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS), Mobile Display Digital Interface (MDDI) and Mobile Industry Processor Interface (MIPI).
