Q. If the USB circuit shuts down how can it be reset?
A. Hi Tony, thank you for your question. There is no reset for these as they are mains connected. If they fail it will be the small transformer in the rear of the panel that has failed.

Q. Hi, I was wondering if the circuitry for the chargers in this faceplate is current sensing and as such switches off when not in use. As chargers are reported to be a main source of fires when people leave them plugged in overnight, I want to ensure that I am not introducing a fire risk into my house.
A. Hi David. Thank you for your question. According to the manufacturer it does have some current sensing: the USB charging sockets are compatible with items such as smartphones, tablets, media players, digital cameras, and other devices that require charging via a USB port. The USB charging sockets are limited to 2 amps (combined), if the current exceeds this it will automatically shut down to protect your device.
