Pi Supply PIS-0062 Gert VGA 666 Kit for Raspberry Pi - Use VGA with your Pi

With 6 bits per colour channel (666), the Gert VGA 666 gives you the ability to use a VGA screen/monitor with your Raspberry Pi, being far cheaper than a HDMI to VGA adaptor or similar.

This breakout/add-on board is compatible with Raspberry Pi Models A+, B+, 2B, 3B, 3B+

The VGA connection is driven natively in hardware over the GPIO pins (using a parallel interface) and uses around the same CPU load as the HDMI connection on board.

• Simple enough even for absolute beginners to put together
• Capable of displaying 1080p60 VGA video with no CPU load
• Can be driven at the same time as the HDMI connection, so a dual screen setup is also possible

Note: This add-on on board uses all but 6 of the GPIO pins on the Model B+ Raspberry Pi so it may not be possible to use other add on boards at the same time as the VGA adaptor.
