The G201X stepper drive from Geckodrive is the newest drop-in replacement for the G201, built around the already proven CPLD design, similar to the G203V and the G320X. The G201X has several new features and performance enhancements:

Step and direction is +3.3V DC and +5V DC compatible at 2.5mA
Recirculate mode during standby greatly reduces motor heating while stopped
No external 470uF capacitor needed
Power-on reset
Direction is clocked in on the active step pulse edge
No internal jumpers, no current set resistor, DIP switch settings
Low motor heating while stopped
