The Dino-Lite Edge series are an enhancement of the universal range of microscopes, providing a superior quality image and greater flexibility. All the microscopes feature high-quality optics that provide a very sharp, bright and natural colour image with very low aberration and vignetting.
This microscope from the Edge series features high-resolution optics and 20 to 200x magnification. These microscopes have two features that extend their functionality: Extended Dynamic Range (EDR) that helps to reveal lighter and darker area within an image, and Extended Depth of Field (EDOF) that stacks images at different foci to improve depth of field on rough or uneven surfaces. The microscope has a polariser that provides anti-reflective performance and is supplied with a number of exchangeable caps, including a diffuser cap, that give even more flexibility and ease of use in a wide variety of applications.
Output from the microscope can be single image, video at up to 30fps, or time-lapsed video. It is possible to carry out object measurements, ascertaining line length, radii, circle and 3-point circle, etc. The functionality and feature set of the microscope makes it suitable for many applications in education, teledermatology, gemstones, watchmaking/repairing, industrial quality control, cultural heritage, graphical industry, etc.
Comes with a Dino-Lite developed software program (DinoCapture (Windows) and DinoXcope (Mac)) that is intuitive and user-friendly and can be used to further enhance the functionality of the microscopes.
