This probe has been designed to assist in the transfer of data to and from an iButton. The probe is panel mounted and presents a flat faceplate and a round profile that provides a self-aligning interface that matches the circular rim of an iButton MicroCan package.

Additional features include an LED that is housed within the probe that provides user-feedback signalling, and a Molex connector terminated cable assembly that makes it easy to connect into a system.

Q. Please can you advise on how this item interfaces with computer and what is required if any to allow this for examples so it can interface via rs232 or USB ?
A. Hi Tim Thanks for your question. This is just designed to interface with a same style connector, that would be connected to the PC, to allow it to read the button.
