CK Tools 495001 Automatic Wire Stripper

After years of seeking, I have just found the holy grail: a pair of reasonably affordable wire strippers that actually work with the minimum of fuss. I have bought around 10 pairs of low to medium cost wire-strippers over the years, none worked well, some barely worked at all. They do not need to be set-up, they just worked perfectly straight-out of the box. I think they represent good-value-for-money given their high-quality design and manufacture. (It might be a good day to look for a decent sword.)

The length to be stripped is adjusted by a movable stop. Thew jaws strip the insulation without damaging the wire and with little effort by the operator. Recommended.

I need to strip a variety of types and sizes of insulated wire - from household electrical cable to very fine electronic hookup wire. Over a period of many years I have used a variety of strippers but none came as near to handling all of my needs as this one does. It may appear rather ungainly but in actual use you only need to get the cutter end into a tight corner. It strips sold and stranded wire equally well, and doesn't damage the latter as some other strippers do. Overall, an excellent tool.

After using a very cheap pair from a 'high street' electronics store, these wire strippers were a revelation! Smooth, clean cuts, works perfectly on everything I tried it on. Highly recommended.
