If you prefer to be woken gently to being jolted from your slumbers then the Velleman LED Clock with Slow On Dimmer Kit could be just what you need. The clock has an output connection for a light which starts to get brighter 15 minutes before the set time. The light intensity of the connected appliance will increase up to full power and at the set alarm time beeps will be heard. The beep length is gradually built up so you will not be startled by a sudden alarm signal.
