RVFM Heat Conductivity Bar Set

A simple, yet effective apparatus to demonstrate the heat conductivity of various metals.

Four metal bars (copper, aluminium, brass and steel), are mounted on a base with a hanging hole. Each metal bar has same cross-sectional area and its conductivity value is marked on the back of the base. Sensitive indicators that change colour with temperature, are attached to the front of each of the four metal bars. When the tips of the bars are dipped into a beaker of hot water, the speeds of their relative conductivities can be seen.
