The Parrot AR Drone 2.0 Elite Edition is easily controlled by Wi-Fi using a Smartphone or Tablet. This latest AR.Drone 2.0 offers enthusiasts the classic camouflaged style comprising of a Jungle Livery.
The Jungle Livery has been inspired by the rain forest landscape. This individual product is supplied attractively packaged in its own specially designed printed carton with a distinctive indoor and outdoor hull, plus one pair of customised propellers to compliment the colour scheme.
The exclusive Elite Edition packaging includes one 1000mAh lithium polymer battery to provide up to twelve minutes of flying time, plus a convenient mains charger with international adaptors. The drone features a 720p High Definition main camera and with additional sensors and improved stability. It can perform acrobatic manoeuvres including mid-air flips.
The AR Drone is compatible with iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches and Android devices. The free App lets you stream live video from the AR Drone's built-in cameras straight to your screen, while you fly. When you want to take off, just press the handy titled 'Take Off' button. The AR Drone will rise into the air of its own accord and stop at a predetermined height. From that point you are the pilot.
Tilt your device forwards and the drone will move forwards. Tilt it left to move left, and right to move right. Height and rotation are easily managed via touchscreen controls. When you want the drone to land, let the software do it for you. Just press the 'Land' and the AR Drone will gently touchdown.
The Ready-to-Fly AR Drone comes with two interchangeable hull designs. The rugged indoor Hull gives more protection when space is tight; while the more aerodynamic Streamlined Hull is lighter, for greater manoeuvrability outdoors. Either way, the polypropylene foam used in both designs gives a lightweight but robust feel to your drone, so it will take a few knocks and bumps without any problems.
