The Olimex MOD-USB-RS232 provides any host microcontoller with a UEXT connector or I2C interface access to a USB port by providing the necessary physical and electrical services. The host MCU will need to be programmed to handle the protocol side of USB communications. This is an extremely low power module as it uses the PIC18F14K50 20-pin USB microcontroller with nanoWatt XLP technology.
