26 April 2012 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 61-1466
Q. After amplyfing the signal what would I have to do?
A. If you are just detecting movement then I would suggest a module with the associated circuits built in like product code: 61-1516, this just needs 5V power. The output is high or low depending on whether something is detected.

25 April 2012 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 61-1466
Q. What resistors will i use on each leg for a 18M PICAXE? Would I need to use any capcacitors?
A. You will need to amplify the signal first but please refer to figure 2 of the technical datasheet for accurate circuit information: https://www.rapidonline.com/pdf/61-1466.pdf

29 February 2012 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 61-1466
Q. Would this sensor be suitable for calculating the distance of an infrared (LED) source, given the output of the sensor?
A. Thanks for your enquiry. It would only sense a movement selection but could be set up within a set distance so may be suitable dependent but it would not really be able to govern different distances only a set distance

17 January 2012 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 61-1466
Q. Can this device directly operate a 2ma piezo buzzer?
A. Hi Phil, thanks for your question. The device will not activate the buzzer on its own. A circuit is required to measure the difference in voltage / resistance output. For more information please see the data sheet: https://www.rapidonline.com/Re200b-p-Pyroelectric-Pir-Sensor-To-5-61-1466
