This eRIC9-DK development kit radio transceiver 868/928MHZ from LPRS is a wireless, "system on a chip" integrated circuit, providing a platform for the test and evaluation of eRIC radio transceivers.

Using this kit together with the supplied ‘easyRadio Companion' software, connection can be made to eRIC modules, allowing the default operating frequency (channels), RF power output, Over Air and Host serial communication rates to be and configured and changed. In addition, by using the free Texas Instrument (TI) ‘Code Composer Studio' (link below) software, application programs can be compiled, downloaded and run.

The development board has flexible pins which help to keep the surface mount transceiver module in place while re-programming or testing, and can be removed by levering it off by one corner, allowing another module in for programming. There is also a solder area should the user want to use the module and board as their prototype.

The kit comprises:
2x eRIC4 900MHz RF transceiver modules
2x eRIC development boards
2x matching antenna (900MHz) with SMA (male) connectors
2x 9V alkaline PP3 batteries
2x USB Type A to micro-B USB connector jump leads for connection to PC
1x ‘Wireless Mike' 4GB USB memory stick containing data sheets and software

  • Gnd pin: 0V gnd reference for ‘scope or other test equipment.
