Ciseco B017 PowerPOD NCP1402 1V-4V Input and 'Steps Up' to a 5V Regulated Output

The Ciseco PowerPOD NCP1402 series is based around the versatile NCP1402 SMD regulator and offers a range of power options in a useful form factor. All PowerPOD modules share the same pinout which is also the same as the venerable 7805 regulator. The maximum current rating is 800mA although you should de-rate this at higher input voltages to avoid heat build up. The break-out style board allows you to use a sophisticated voltage regulator without having to learn to solder surface mounted devices. The range of inputs which includes both step-up and step-down versions allows you to choose the best solution for your project.
