<P>C R Clarke's range of dip coating equipment operates on the following principle:</P><P>A metal component is heated in an oven. After heating, it is removed from the oven and dipped into a bath of powder, which has been fluidised using high volume, low pressure air from a blower or the pressure outlet of a suitable vacuum-forming machine. The powder melts onto the hot metal, which is then removed from the powder. The heat in the metal allows the powder to flow to form a smooth coating.</P><P>The coating hardens as it cools, giving a hard-wearing coated surface.</P>
