19 February 2019 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 75-0703
Q. I am wanting to use this robot gripper for an underwater ROV project. I am wondering if it would be possible to use the supplied motor with my own driver circuit that I will design because as far as I am aware the supplied motor is a standard 12V DC screw motor. Also I am wondering whether it is possible to waterproof this configuration as I have seen examples of it done before.
A. Hi Louis, thank you for your question. This is not intended to be used in a wet environment as it stands. You could indeed to try to modify it but we are unable to guarantee anything if you decide to go that route. This would also void any warranty.
