The MFA 919D2 voltage / speed regulator has a variable output providing smooth, progressive speed control from min to max, ideal for use in controlling motors and geared motors. It can also provide a dimmer facility for low voltage lighting circuits (6 to 15V only).

It employs Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) circuitry, giving a constant voltage output. Speed control is achieved by varying the width of the output pulse. Maximum rated output is 3A constant, (5A peak). The module operates from an input voltage of 6 to 15V DC from a non-digital power supply, i.e., a battery or a linear power supply.

  • Input voltage 6 to 15V DC
  • Output voltage 0 to input voltage
  • Output current 3A continuous, 5A peak
  • Modulation frequency 1136 to 1250Hz
  • Input and output cables 21cm in length
  • Input cables fitted with insulated spade connectors
  • Dimensions: 34 x 27 x 18mm
  • Weight approx. 30g
  • MFA type 919D2

14 January 2019 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 37-1245
Q. How heavy is it
A. Hi Mungo, thank you for your question. The system states 38.3 grams.

12 January 2019 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 37-1245
Q. Could I attach 2 motors to it?
A. Hi Mungo, thank you for your question. You could connect 2 motors however, the maximum rated output is 3A constant (5A peak). The combination of the 2 motors must not exceed the rating of the device.

24 June 2015 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 37-1245
Q. Will it be able to control speed of a DC motor in a model train locomotive?
A. Hi SB, thank you for your question. There is no reason why this cannot be used as long as the power supply is between 6-15 volts.

15 May 2013 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 37-1245
Q. Thanks for your previous response, so just to clarify.. I want to rotate a servo motor keeping the circuit as simple as possible. (hopefully only using this pwm and a battery) what else is needed to do this? I'm assuming this can be done without using an ic chip.
A. Hi Brendan. Thank you for your question. This will be fine as long as the motor is rated at 12V as this unit outputs between 4-12V.

14 May 2013 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 37-1245
Q. Can this be used to control the rotation of a servo motor without using an IC?
A. Hi Brendan. Thank you for your question. This would only control the voltage so whilst it would control the rotation it can only be speeded up or slowed down by adjusting the small pot on the controller.
