47nF 10% 1000V ArcShield Flexi Termination Ceramic Chip Capacitor

A 47nF 1000V 10% Multi Layer Ceramic Capacitor (MLCC) in an 1812 case size that is designed to work in high voltage applications susceptible to surface arcing.

Typical applications for this MLCC include: switch mode power supplies (input filters, resonators, tank circuits, snubber circuits, output filters), high voltage coupling and DC blocking, lighting ballasts, voltage multiplier circuits, DC/DC converters and coupling capacitors in Cuk converters.

This MLCC featurea a exible termination system that gives superior flex performance compared to the standard termination system. This flexible termination system was developed to address flex cracks that were the primary failure cause in MLCCs and was typically the result of excessive stresses produced during board flexure and thermal cycling. The flexible termination inhibits the transfer of board mechanical stress to the rigid body of the MLCC, mitigating flex cracks.
