1W High Luminosity Power LED Stars

<p>These power star LEDs are high luminosity modules that are mounted on an PCB substrate. Being more energy efficient than incandescent and most halogen lamps and available in a range of colours, including white and warm white, these LEDs are ideal for a wide range of applications including: electronic signs and signals, small area illumination, back lighting and other lighting, bollards, security and garden uses, traffic signalling and beacons.</p>
  • High luminous flux
  • Super energy efficiency
  • Long operational life
  • Superior ESD protection
  • Superior UV resistance

12 February 2014 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 55-2239
Q. I'm planning on using the white LED with a 9V battery to make a simple torch what resistor would you recommend?
A. Hi Craig. Thank you for your question. A 30 ohm resistor would be suitable, something like 62-8328 would do the job.

08 January 2014 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 55-2239
Q. Is there a heat conducting adhesive that can be used to fasten these LEDs onto a metal substrate?
A. Hi Chris. Thank you for your question. We actually list the PCB star heat sink for this LED (55-1991) which requires just bolting on with heat sink compound. Failing that we list a Loctite adhesive kit on 87-0328.

Q. Do you have a driver suitable to drive multiple LEDs from a single 12V source?
A. Hi Rob. Thank you for your question. Something like one of the following would be suitable: 55-2224, 55-2642 and 55-2036.

15 May 2012 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 55-2239
Q. Which driver would you use to drive just one of these LEDs and if a resistor is needed which would you recommend? Regards Neil
A. Hi Neil, we would recommend 55-2224. This would require a resistor, the value would depend on what colour LED you are using. https://www.rapidonline.com/12V-Constant-Current-LED-Driver-300mA-AC-DC-55-2224
