Q. Hi I am looking to make the exhaust alarm featured in Practical boat owner but was wondering if there is a 'band type' 70 or 90 degree norm open thermal switch. I am short of space and a band that clamps around my exhaust hose would be better. Any suggestions? Regards Gary
A. Hi Gary. Thank you for your question. The parts for the practical boat owner exhaust alarm are as follows: We don’t have any type of sensor unfortunately. 90 degree switch: 26-7430> Siren:35-3538 Test button:78-0110
Q. Hello. I want to make an exhaust temperature alarm for a boat. Is this switch suitable for use in a 12v circuit? Thank you.
A. Hi Steve, thanks for your question. Is this the alarm project in the 'Practical Boat Owner' magazine? If so, the parts for the project are as follows: 26-7430 is the correct part for the 90 degree switch. The Push to test button is 78-0110 and the siren is 35-3538. We hope this helps.
