<p>This simple but interesting project has been designed by Rapid's technical team for <STRONG>Key Stages 1, 2 &amp; 3</STRONG> students. It will help them to make a fully working mini-light from the parts supplied in this great kit.   • Batteries and LEDs
  • Plastazote foam core
  • High impact polystyrene outer layers
  • Available in four styles:
  • Standard Mini-light is a keyring torch kit using a red LED
  • Super-bright Mini-light is an updated version using a modern white LED
  • Rainbow Mini-light has a random colour-changing LED
  • Ultraviolet Mini-light has a UV LED and can be used for revealing security coding on banknotes, etc.
  • Suitable for Key Stages 1, 2 & 3 (ages 5 to 14)
  • Supplied in classpacks of 20
  • Also available in an assorted classpack of 20, containing 5 of each type

Q. How long will this project take -how many hours?
A. Hi Julie. Thank you for your question. These kits can be built quite easily - five to ten minutes if done quickly and skilled, but with the teachers notes they can make the kit over many weeks.

Q. I have received my assorted class pack, thank you. However I have no idea which pack is which! As I will be teaching cub leaders how to make these with their cubs, I don't want to waste any or make a fool of myself. Please could you help me identify which pack is red/white/ rainbow/UV please. Codes on the packs are: 70-0013F097BB, 70-0012F087B, 70-0014F077BD &amp; 70-0015FBELT I used the basic red ones with my cubs &amp; they loved them!
A. HI Gerry. Thank you for your question. 70-0013F097BB is the rainbow LED, 70-0012F087B is the white LED, 70-0014F077BD is the UV LED and 70-0015FBELT is the red LED.

Q. Do the kits come with 9mm foam or 6mm?
A. Hi Ross. Thank you for your question. This kit uses 3 batteries per unit so the foam is 9mm.

A. Hi Sam, yes we do sell the Gratnells trays individually. They come in a choice of depths and the lids are available to purchase separately here.
