MFA 950DLN Series Spur Geared Motor Single Ratio Metal Geared Noise Attenuated

These noise attenuated motors, available in a choice of ratios, have metal gearboxes and provide approximately 45% more torque than the standard motor/gearbox combination as well as a considerable reduction in motor noise level. The high quality five pole low rpm motor features carbon brushes and sintered bronze bearings. The spur-gear gearbox incorporates sleeve bearings, enabling the transfer of the higher amounts of torque between the motor and the keyed 6mm output shaft.

The 950DLN range is designed for use in a wide range of applications, including heavy-duty useage amd are particularly suited to where a lower current consumption than the standard motor is required. The motor and gearbox are mounted on a 1mm thick plated steel bracket.

20 May 2014 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 37-1117
Q. I am considering this motor for a project building a paddle tug. It will mean because one motor will have its output shaft facing to the left, the other to the right. This means one motor will be rotating clock wise and the other counter clock wise(reverse)- Q will the gears box be OK in these circumstances?? Both motors will be used for stearage many thanks Ted
A. Hi Ted. Thank you for your question. The gearboxes are bi-directional so we would suggest this should operate as you require.
