An incremental encoder using digital optical technology. The encoder has a hollow shaft and has a 1000PPR rate. The output circuit is of the RS422 type with an inverted signal. The device has been constructed with a Safety-Lock design that gives high resistance against vibration and installation errors. The rugged housing and wide operating temperature range makes this encoder suitable for use in a wide range of industrial applications, particularly for outside use.
