11 September 2014 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 85-0725
Q. How do I gain access to the fuses? Have lost the instruction book?
A. Hi Alan. Thank you for your question. Prise the plastic cover off the multimeter and then the screws need to be removed to access the fuses.

Great value for money

Great for hobbyist use. I was going to buy the slightly cheaper manual Rapid Multimeter but decided to spend a few extra pounds on this auto-ranging model instead. As another reviewer mentioned - you'll probably want to get a better set of leads for it. The ones that come with it are fine but you'll outgrow them. The manual is quite badly translated so if you're an absolute beginner you will probably need guidance from elsewhere, but if you've ever used a multimeter before you won't need the instructions.

Good For The Money

Just bought a few of these general bench use. You know the sort of requirement. You want a meter that will measure most things with reasonable accuracy, but cheap enough that you don't mind too much if you break it. So far (couple of days) they are looking good. The electric field detection means you just wave the meter next to a mains lead and you know it is live. The supplied thermocouple means you can quickly and easily check component and heatsink temperatures. Oh yes. It measures volts ohms and amps as well. The leads are basic, as expected for a low cost meter. But you can easily upgrade these to suit individual preferences.
