Q. Is the 5v dc O/P pure enough to drive an amplifier designed for use with a computer without hum?
A. Hi Keith, thank you for your question. This is intended to be used as a charger for USB devices. Most switch mode supplies of this nature will cause some sort of audible noise in audio equipment, usually as a high pitched sound rather than a hum or both. We would suggest contacting the manufacturer of the amplifier for recommended AC adaptor types. We cannot guarantee that this would be noise free.
