Q. What is the plug dia of this unit? Do you offer a smaller rating of say, 250ma We need to charge 6 v lead/acid batteries battary rating 1.3 A/h
A. Hi Mark, thanks for your question. The output is the standard 2.1mm barrel connector; 2.1 refers to the size of the hole in the centre. The outside diameter is 5.5mm. For use as a charger we would recommend the use of a blocking diode. The supply won’t like it for long with the battery voltage going back into it. The unit will fail after a time in this condition as this is a power supply not a charger. The use of a suitable diode will prevent damage but there is a disadvantage. The diode will drop the voltage by 0.7v to the battery.
