    30cm PCB Mount Loudspeaker

    The Rapid part number 51-7662 seems to be an equivalent to the Kepo 3008 (for which a data-sheet is available). This is a 30mm diameter, 13mm high, 8 Ohm loudspeaker. For it's size the sound quality is better than I expected, I built the prototype using some Kepo 22mm diameter loudspeakers I had left over from an earlier design. The 30mm unit has significantly better sound quality and is much more efficient (louder!) for a given input level. I'm using two of these in a battery powered, very simple, MP3 player for my seventy year old Father In Law, for this they will be ideal.
