Q. Which is the positive side and negative leg? is it polarized?

Q. Would this be suitable as part of a Bat detector circuit? Bats emit Ultrasonic noises upto 99Khz but many are 25Khz - 60 Khz.
A. The bandwidth for this product is only 2KHz so in reality 38KHz to 42KHZ which is quite narrow for your purposes, I would also have doubts regarding its sensitivity to the level of reception from the bats. I'm afraid we can't offer anything which would be ideal for you.
