Q. There are similar screws to these in Cybernet CB Radios to attach the Output Transistor but they do get quite warm. Are these heat resistant or do they easily melt?
A. Hi Graham, thanks for your question. This depends on the temperatures involved. Polycarbonate has a glass transition temperature of about 147 °C (297 °F; 420 K), so it softens gradually above this point and flows above about 155 °C (311 °F; 428 K).
