Q. hi i intend to make my own soler panels for a barge roof they will have to be custom made to shape but will be flat, would these be suitable for this, would be used for domestic appliances after stepping up
A. Hi Noel, thank you for your question. These panels cannot be cut down as this will damage them, we have never attempted to shape them so this may be something you will need to try. These can be linked together.

Q. Would this panel be capable of running a motor and if so which motor would you recommend? Looking at solar powered vehicle and looking for best combination. Would geared motor be possible?
A. Hi Jim, thank you for your question. Something like 37-0443 would be suitable, however, to keep the motor running a good source of light would be required.

Q. What's the Amp's for this product, and If I wanted how could I increase it.
A. Hi Luke. Thank you for your question. This solar cell module is rated at a maximum rating of 0.23A or 230mA (in full sunlight), to increase this you will need to add more panels in parallel. If you use 2 cells in parallel the maximum rating would be 460mA and 3 cells in parallel the rating would increase to 690mA so each cell will add approximately 230mA to its circuits maximum rating.

I bought one of these to repair a large garden light which I purchased from Asda a couple of years ago. The surface area is less than half that of the original light panel and I was concerned that the new panel would not be able to supply sufficient power. Under test for one day, it charged 6 x AA rechageable cells in full sunlight sufficiently to run the bright LED cluster all through the night.
