Normal non PIR Halogen security floodlights are not inherently bad, though
they can waste a lot of power and cost a lot to run. Floodlights are great for
lighting a large area from high above, with the face of the fixture close to
parallel with the ground, and the actual light source outside the user’s field
of view.
The Timeguard NSLB500C Energy Saving Halogen Floodlight in Black will only
illuminate at night when the built-in passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor turns
on the floodlight when it detects motion in its coverage area.
During the day, the built-in photocell sensor saves electricity by
deactivating the floodlight. The time and Light adjustment functions let you
select how long and when the light will stay on after activation. So start
