29 July 2015 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 06-1274
Q. Is 10m the largest you sell? I need to buy a lot of this and would rather buy on a bigger spool than buy 10 spools separate.
A. Hi David, thank you for your question. We only supply in 10m spools unfortunately. This Nichrome wire is mainly aimed at school science experiments.

09 October 2012 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 06-1274
Q. Is this wire insulated, for example with varnish?
A. Hi Doug, thanks for your question. This wire is not insulated, it is used to make heating elements etc. Insulated can be found here: https://www.rapidonline.com/Enamelled-copper-wire-62484

12 June 2012 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 06-1274
Q. Hello Can I fire this to 1300 c without it becoming brittle?
A. Hi Jane, thanks for your question. The wire has a melting point of 1400 deg C so would more likely become soft rather than brittle.
