24 March 2013 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 06-0654
Q. This must sound like a really stupid question, but I am not sure how the tyre fixes to the rim. I have tried to glue the rim to the wheel, but that did not work (may be the wronf glue). Using two rim's to the tyre does not secure the wheel enough, the rim placed in side the wheel does not work, using two rims each side does of tyre does not give enough fixing on the wheel. Sorry, I know this is a similar question but just cannot work out how the rim's secure the tyre.
A. Hi Brendon. Thank you for your question. The tire rim should fit in the middle and be secured by the insert, we have never used glue as such but something flexible should be suitable - a hot melt glue gun I would say being the most suitable. These can be sandwiched together using two inserts to make it more stable - once the axle is inserted it should hold the wheels more stable.
