The Rapid HY3005M-3 is a Digital Triple Output Bench Power Supply. This power supply has three independent output channels: two of them provide adjustable output of 0-30V and 0 to 5A, while the third has fixed output of 5V DC 3A.
Both series and parallel connections are possible allowing you to double the voltage or current. The highest output is the sum of twice the voltage value in series mode and the highest output current is the sum of twice the current value in parallel mode.
In the lower part of HY3005M-3 front panel there are output terminals and earth connectors. Each output has its separate terminal group. The first two channels have earth connectors while the third does not.
The device allows smooth adjustment of both parameters (current and voltage). Each output has a separate potentiometer.
The 'M' version uses Microprocessor Technology to allow the adjustment of the AMPS and VOLTS with 'TOUCH' technology instead of dials. The controls are splash and dirt resistant and when set they cannot be changed accidentally. The range is variable voltage, and variable current linear, and suitable for the laboratory, science projects, universities and schools or any other use where a stable voltage up to 30V is required.

Nice bench psu. 2x 30v @5 amps and 1x 5v @3 amps.. so 3 x independent outputs makes this unit very versatile.
This model can be set to series mode which delivers upto 60v @ upto 5 amps,, And in parallel mode delivers upto 30 volts at upto 10 amps.. this is done internally by relays (so no jumper cables needed)
One thing that is not covered in this models user manual is that there are 4 user definable (save) memory locations that can be recalled using the (read) function.

As stated in the sales info, this touch pad version is great as voltages and current can be set accurately, and there is no chance of accidental adjustment.. further to this, the unit also has a key lock feature that disables all but the output key.. another nice touch..
