Q. What size resister is recommended for 12v supply ?

Q. what button cell would I need to run these?
A. Hi Ian. Thank you for your question. Either 2 x any of the button cells or just 1 x coin cell will work with this LED.

Q. What size resister is needed is series for 5v supply.
A. Hi Keith, Thanks for your question. This Led will use a 3.6V supply for ideal results – so 1.4V needs to “lost” across the resistor. Using 40mA as the current (80% of max) gives an ideal value of 35 Ohm, and a 0.125W power rating is more than adequate. The next highest resistor value is u39 Ohm in the 0.25W range.
