The ABUS GB3010B Glass Breakage Detector 12V Brown has been designed to monitor individual window panes - the detector is fixed to the window pane to be protected. The ultrasound signals resulting from glass breakage are detected and reported to the alarm panel.
The passive glass breakage detector 12V is fixed between 20-50mm from the window frame - important, the detector should be fixed in such a way that you notice immediately if there is no contact to the pane. The cable should not be in danger of being damaged when the window is opened and closed. If fixed in a corner of the window, the passive glass breakage detector monitors an area of up to 4m². Its maximum monitoring radius is 2m.
An alarm memory is integrated in the glass breakage detector 12V - when it triggers, the LED lights up. The alarm memory is not reset until the voltage supply is removed (2 seconds). The passive glass breakage detector works with an integrated piezo element, reacting to the sound frequency caused by breaking glass. The glass breakage detector 12V is supplied externally with 12V operating voltage.
