ABUS FU8330 Secvest 2WAY Wireless Water Detector

The ABUS FU8330 Secvest 2-Way Wireless Water Detector is a technical detector for the Secvest 2-way alarm system, consisting of a base unit (detector) and a water sensor (sensor). If the sensor gets into contact with water, this is reported to the alarm system by the basic unit.

The sensor of the wireless water detector is installed very close to the floor - ideally, it should be installed in spots that will be the first to be flooded in the event of water damage (e.g. behind washing machines, near water pipes). Both components are connected to each other via cable. The maximum distance between detector and sensor is 1m. The wireless water detector is taught-in to the alarm system as a zone with the "technology" property. This zone is monitored even when the system is disarmed and leads to an alarm when triggered.

In the Secvest 2-way system settings, you can also define whether you should be notified via SMS or telephone call if a technology zone is triggered. It is also possible to switch an output when a water detector is triggered. This output could control the washing machine, for example, which would then turn itself off in the event of water damage.
