The SpeakUp Click board is an add-on accessory board in mikroBUS form factor that is a plug-n-play complement to the mikroBUS system. The board enables the expansion of designs with additional functionality with minimum hardware configuration. The board is a speech recognition device that can be set to recognise and execute over 200 different voice commands. The SpeakUp learns from scratch, so it is possible to make commands understood in any language, dialect or using slang.
The board has a built-in microphone and also has a 3.5mm jack for an external microphone. There are two output modes: Standalone mode is used to directly control external devices, and Click mode is used to send an indexx of the matched voice command to a selectable interface via USB or UART.
The Click boards have been designed as part of the mikroBUS system, a pinout design that typically provides those lines that are suitable for most accessory boards, almost completely eliminating the need for additional hardware setting and thus making plug-and-play easier to achieve.
