This 1000W single output variable DC PSU from EA Elektro-Automatik is a high quality power supply unit which is equipped with a host of excellent features, including the overvoltage protection (OP), overtemperature protection (OT), four-digit displays for voltage and current, status indication via LEDs and display, remote sense with automatic detection and analogue interface with U/I monitoring via 0 to 10V or 0 to 5V.

All important information is clearly visualised on a matrix display, while information about the actual output values, preset set values for U, I, P, over/undervoltage protection, the actual control state (CV,CC,CP), errors and settings of the setup menu are clearly displayed. In order to simplify adjustment of values by the featured rotary knobs, it can be switched between coarse and fine setting mode, just by a key stroke. All these features contribute to this unit being very easy to operate. With a "lock" button, the controls can be locked in order to protect from unintentional misuse.

The "System Bus" on the rear of the unit provides remote sense inputs and Master-Slave connection inputs. With this several can be combined to a parallel system without much effort. This particular version also has a flexible autoranging output stage which provides a higher output voltage at lower output current, or a higher output current at lower output voltage, always limited to the max. nominal output power. Therefore, a wide range of applications can already be covered by the use of just one single unit.
