Q. Hi, could you tell me if this is suitable for a retail project? I am looking to use it as a top surface of a shelf that hair straighteners will be placed on when they are being used. Thank you
A. Hi HP. Thank you for your question. These heat resistant mats can only withstand 150 degrees centigrade so not ideally suited for use with hair straighteners.

Q. What temperature range can this mat cope with?
A. Hi Iain, this cutting mat is manufactured from heat resistant melamine (up to 150°C), but is capable of withstanding momentary temperatures beyond this. Significant contact with the mat could result in surface material degredation/scorching.
