Q. Can you provide instructions for use, please? It looks a very nice piece of equipment but comes without any instructions or explanation.
A. Hi Graham. Thank you for your question. The supplier does not have a instruction for the tool and we do not supply one I have found a short video that should be useful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxMYjJ4Lwi0
I looked around for quite a while for a crimp tool that was cost effective and in stock, this one was the lowest price i found and available from stock. Once it arrived a put it straight to work and has been working flat out for over six months without an issue. Great value for money.
Really easy to used and good value for money, will have no hesitation to buy additional ones.
Got this for crimping molex type terminals (.156" and 2.5mm) . The tool comes in a blister pack with cardboard back. There are no instructions, but there are videos around that should explain the process quite well. The dies are removable so you can use different size dies for other applications. The supplied dies have two different notch sizes for each of the teeth so theres a total of four, or you can use them to crimp the sleeve crimp and contact crimp at the same time; though I tend to do mine in two steps. Construction is very good, nice thick tool steel and good, heavy rubberised handles. It should last very well and can be dissassembled for servicing. The clicks in the ratchet are nicely audible/tactile so it should be easy to crimp to the right tightness. Release catch is visible in between the handles on the lower side, otherwise you can squeeze all the way together to release the ratchet. Quite happy with this purchase, especially considering you could pay upwards of £50 for an alternative. Would definitely recommend.
