An economical station designed especially for lead-free desoldering.
Self-contained diaphragm type vacuum pump
Vacuum control is via a push button on the desoldering iron
Suction continues for 1 to 2 seconds after the button is released to ensure that tips and tubes are fully cleared
A large digital display, can be switched to either Fahrenheit or Centigrade, is used to set the target temperature and to monitor the actual tip temperature
Freestanding iron and solder stands
Temperature is electronically controlled by a front panel control, removing the need to change tips for different applications
Zero voltage switching and fully grounded circuitry makes the unit safe for use on static sensitive devices
An optional 80W hot air pencil is available, allowing the station to double up as a hot air supply for heat shrinking, glue drying or curing, fault-finding, small SMD devices, or for pre-heating PCB track areas or hardware
Energy saving mode cuts power by 33% after 15 minutes inactivity
Mains connection is via an IEC type mains inlet on the rear of the unit

Q. Hello, I have a LF-6000. I need a part numbers for the tips that fit the DIA80. I recently bought the 85-1185 (1mm tip for DIA60 and DIA100). This item does not fit the DIA80. Would you be able to supply me with the correct part number for the 1mm Desoldering iron tip for the DIA80?
Regards
A. Thanks for your enquiry Andre. The only tip we have in stock for the DIA80 iron 85-1096 for 1.2mm.
Q. Is this device suited to left handed operation? I've seen claims that the activation button and handle shape are intended for right hand operation
A. Hi Paul, thanks for your question.
There is no reference or info to suggest that this Xytronic LF-6000 lead free desoldering station is intended for right hand operation. However it could be that its general construction layout would favour right handed operators more readily than left handed, since the work area would have the tubes and cables across it when operated left handed.
The actuating button should not be a problem.
