Q. I wish to glue a 3mm diameter brass rod into an aluminium housing. The brass rod is used as a microwave resonator so the glue needs to be electrically conductive. Would Leitsilber L100 be suitable?
A. Hi Phil, thank you for your question. This may be suitable, however, this is more a conductive paint. You may want to experiment to get the best results.

Great Product

I used this as a conductive layer for electro-forming organic objects. It is a very good formulation, dries quickly in a very thin layer, covers and adheres exceptionally well. The tiny vial actually goes a really long way. Use a small brush. I use one that just fits the neck of the vial, so that it seals it with the brush ferrule, and shake the whole thing vigorously for each brush-load to mix it as it separates really quickly. Brush is re-animated by re-immersion in the paint, so no need to wash the brush, just flex it a couple of times and good as new. Conductivity is very high and objects cover quickly and well with copper plating solution.

Rear screen heater repair

used to repair broken heated rear screen. Find the break by switching on the screen and carefully using a voltmeter, the voltage will change from 12 to 0 at the break. Used on its own the paint will burn out due to the high current . Take a thin strand of copper wire about 2cm long, use 2 tiny pieces of bluetack to hold the wire in place across the break. Then use a fine brush to add the conductive paint. When dry switch on the window. This will warm the bluetack to enable its easy removal. Add more paint to tidy up the ends - job done!
