A keypad should not just protect entry to its application and environment; it should also be secure and highly resistant in itself.
That is why a new range of
piezo operated aluminium keypads from CamdenBoss, now available from Rapid, will be of interest to all those requiring a device to perform at the highest standards in extremes of climate and moisture - including access control and security professionals.
Being IP68 rated means that these keypads offer the very highest level of dust and water protection. For example, being submerged in water for two hours will have no effect on the performance of the device. Unlike conventional mechanical keypads they have no moving parts to wear out and fail, and are machined from a single piece of solid aluminium, giving them a lifespan of up to 50 million operations.
The
keypads are available from Rapid in 3x4 and 4x4 formats, are very easy to clean due to the tightly closed surface, while the potted switching at the rear of the keypad also prevents contamination and freezing. The pads are ideal for integration into applications for outdoor and extreme environments.
Alongside the piezo keypads are IP68 fully programmable access control products, including an aluminium anti-vandal proximity reader, exit switch and standalone door entry controller.
