The Elektra Awards celebrated the innovation and achievements of the UK electronics industry at a glittering ceremony in London this week.
Rapid Electronics was nominated in the category of Distributor of the Year. While not successful on the night, Rapid offered its congratulations to the winner, Solid State Supplies. Indeed, Rapid was thankful just to make it to the ceremony, after long rail delays in Essex!
The big winners of the night were AMS Sensor Solutions, which picked up Company of the Year and Semiconductor Product of the Year - Analogue, and Imagination Technologies, which won the Educational Support Award and saw its chief executive, Sir Hossain Yassaie, win the Lifetime Achievement Award.
