High brightness (2180mcd) 12V white LED miniature bulb, useful for a wide variety of applications including direct filament lamp replacements and backlighting.
Q. Hi, I bought 6 volt bulbs for my bike lights but they only lasted a day. I'm presuming this is because the voltage (although rectified) can rise probably to 8 or 10v if I'm riding quickly.
Does that sound right?
I'm thinking that I should have gone for 12v bulbs instead but what is the minimum voltage that these will work at?
A. Hi Katie. Thank you for your question. These have a typical voltage of 12-16 volts but you could use a Zenner diode to limit the voltage flow like 47-2294.
