A flexible separable LED strip PCB. The entire strip contains 30 600mcd warm white LEDs, but this can be separated into 10 x 3 LED pieces, and each one is adhesive backed. Low power consumption, so therefore energy saving, excellent beam control and uses line voltage. Suitable for channel letter signs, indirect accent decor lights, large area back lighting, under-counter lights and neon light substitution.

27 April 2016 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 56-0478
Q. Hi Thanks for your answer to my question below. I was hoping to use something like 90-2654 rather than a plug in device. Could you suggest a 'wire in' slim line unit?
A. Hi Bryan, thank you for your question. 90-2654 is also a suitable driver for the 30 way strip.

25 April 2016 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 56-0478
Q. Please could you suggest a suitable driver to use with this product. I would like to supply with 240v AC and I would just be using just one strip of LEDs.
A. Hi Bryan, thank you for your question. 85-2927 would be suitable.

11 February 2012 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 56-0478
Q. How many of the strips can be used in series? I have a cove light situation, about 6m long, which I would like on one switch is this possible. Also are these LED strips dimmable?
A. Hi Robin, thanks for your question. These are wired to run on 12V each – so when added in series the voltage will add up, so 2 would require 24V and so on. Something perhaps worth noting is that these strips can effectively be stretched by cutting them into smaller length of three LEDs each – but each sub section also requires 12V. You can stay with 12 v for multiple strips if connected in parallel but naturally the current requirement gets added for each unit connected. The LEDs can be dimmed – but they do not react in the same way that halogen lamps do in that a simple system used in “normal” domestic applications does not produce a uniform result. They are usually best dimmed by using a Pulse Width Modulator (PWM) that turns them on and off – but varies the interval – giving the illusion of dimming.

23 January 2012 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 56-0478
Q. Hi. I would like to light up my snakes 4ft Vivarium with a led strip to save on electricity. The problem I have is knowing how bright these strips are in reality. Can you help?
A. Hi Alan, thanks for your question. Each LED provides 600mcd (0.6 of a candle) and there are 30 of them. It might be possible to convert this to lumens – but not watts. As per the description – they can be cut into sections of 3 leds each – so if they are too bright they can be spaced further apart or reduced in total number.
